Euroview are providing our client Aluminium Sashes Limited with Saint-Gobian Cool-lite SKN144 for the Technology Centre for Neath Port Talbot Council which will be located at Baglan Energy Park in Swansea Bay. The three-storey hybrid building will provide a range of flexible office space to support start-up companies and indigenous business growth with a focus on innovation and R&D companies. It will neighbour the Canolfan Arloesi Bae Baglan Bay Innovation Centre, also located at the park. Due to its exemplary sustainability credentials, the design has been given a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification. Classed as energy positive, the building will demonstrate world-leading green technology capabilities by offsetting more carbon than it produces.
SGG COOL-LITE SKN 144 II is a solar control glass, which blocks up to 77% of solar heat by reflecting it to the outside. It can be for use in residential or commercial buildings alike, either for façades or overhead glazing. Due to the unique solar control properties of the coating, it is only available as a to-be-toughened glass.
