Euroview Architectural Glass provided our client, NA Curtain Walling (NACWL), with processed glass for their project for the Fareham Academy. NACWL had to create a secure enclave within the school boundary in order to carry out their work whilst school activities continued. The project involved removal of the existing 1970s facades and the installation of a new curtain walling system. The new facade improved aesthetics, acoustic, thermal, and fire performance of the block – with some impressive results.
For the project, Euroview processed Guardian Climaguard A.1 glass. This glass meets the highest performance requirements in terms of transparency and solar heat gain. The Low-E glass is able to maintains the same thermal performance, but with an increased level of solar heat gain. Not only does this glass help the school maintain a comfortable environment for students to learn, but also reduce energy costs with its high performance.
